National Library week is April 4-10 and the theme this year is “Welcome to Your Library,” and promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and that everyone is welcome to use our services.

Hoosiers age 16 and older eligible for covid-19 vaccine

Hoosiers ages 16 and older are now eligible to sign up for a free COVID-19 vaccine, says the Indiana Department of Health. The expansion makes more than 1.3 million additional individuals eligible for vaccine.

Struggling Hoosiers can turn to Be Well helpline

With the pandemic continuing to take a toll on mental health, State Reps. Randy Lyness (R-West Harrison) and Cindy Ziemke (R-Batesville) encourage Hoosiers to turn to Indiana’s Be Well Crisis Helpline, a free and confidential resource already helping thousands of people across the state.

Garden Club elects officers, make plans for the year

Members of Shaker Farms Garden Club met for the first time this year on Wednesday, March, 24 at the Harrison Township Civic Center. Co-presidents Brenda Manger and Dottie Long honored the past presidents and gave an inspiring synopsis of the last two years of club activities: Beautify Harrison Pots for summer and the holidays; maintaining gardens at Dry Fork and Interstate 74, Looker House, and Passmore cabin; Library holiday decorations and educational displays; Youth Projects with microgreens and seeds; Mugs of Friendship; GCO Inc.
