Spring has definitely now sprung, and the Dearborn Highlands Arts Council introduces the group’s Spring Into Art exhibition to celebrate. The annual spring exhibition features paintings, photography and sculptures.

City hires for two projects

The Rising Sun Board of Works has hired Eagle Hollow to do the dock installation and parking lot repairs. Eagle Hollow bid the job at $12,500, and was the only bid.

Vaccinations still being offered

The Ohio County Health Department is offering a Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine clinic. Those wishing to receive the vaccination have to be at least 18 years of age.

Halle Shorten 400 dash sectional champion

ST. LEON - Rising Sun junior Halle Shorten carried the track and field torch on to this week’s IHSAA regional after winning the sectional 400-meter dash championship last Tuesday, May 18, at East Central.

ST. LEON - Sophomore Dylan Martin will represent Rising Sun in today’s (Thursday) IHSAA boys track and field regional by merit of third and fourth-place finishes in both of his hurdles events last Thursday at East Central High School.
