RISING SUN - Capping the regular season with a 4-game league winning streak, Rising Sun softball clinched the Ohio River Valley Conference championship with home field victories over Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley last week.

Schools deciding how to divide COVID funds

The Southwest local School District is working to decide how it will spend $9.6 million in CARES Act funding. The funds are through the American Rescue Plan, also known as Cares Act Two, or Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund.

They’ve done it all. With a combined over 80 years of service to Crosby Township Harry and Jean Meyers were selected by the trustees to be this year’s grand marshals of the Crosby Township Memorial Day Parade.
