South Dearborn Schools employees will get a little something for their work. The school board voted May 18 to provide a one-time financial stipend as an act of appreciation for their services.

Woman charged with driving car in Civista robbery

The man accused of robbing the Civista Bank in Lawrenceburg April 26 died two days after being arrested in Hamilton County, Ohio. According to Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens, Stephen Eggert, 57, died April 28 at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

The Dearborn County Health Department will be at the South Dearborn Schools Administration Building from 10 a.m.-3p.m. Tuesday, June 8, administering Pfizer COVID vaccination shots to those age 12 and older.

Wall escort passing veterans groups’ barracks

The Wall That Heals will get a unique escort when it comes to Harrison. On Tuesday, June 8, motorcyclists from all over will guide the wall from Versailles down U. S. 50 eventually ending at J.T.M. Food Group in Harrison where it will be on display June 10-13.

School project on schedule

While many will say goodbye to the old elementary buildings in the Southwest Local School District, one building will remain in use. On May 20 the Southwest Local Schools Board of Education voted to renovate Whitewater Valley Elementary School.
