Scholarships help Rising Sun students
A total of $42,210 (not counting the value of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship) has been awarded to the graduating class of 2021 through scholarships administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation.
Hot weather means pool’s open
The Rising Sun Community Pool opened for the summer of 2021 on May 29. Although Memorial Day weekend was a bit cold for brave souls to endure, the following weekend made up for toasty temperatures climbing to the 90’s.
YES Home’s good work lauded with donation

Health dept. remains vigilant against COVID
Although COVID-19 numbers have continued to trend downward in Ohio County, county Health Officer Dr. Christopher Walcott says continued vaccination programs and precautions will help maintain the downward trend.
