Scholarships help Rising Sun students

A total of $42,210 (not counting the value of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship) has been awarded to the graduating class of 2021 through scholarships administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation.

Hot weather means pool’s open

The Rising Sun Community Pool opened for the summer of 2021 on May 29. Although Memorial Day weekend was a bit cold for brave souls to endure, the following weekend made up for toasty temperatures climbing to the 90’s.

YES Home’s good work lauded with donation

When a child is brought to the YES Home in Dearborn County, the staff tries to make the transition as seamless as possible. That’s why donations like the $1,000 donation the Harrison VFW Post 7570 made recently makes a huge difference to the organization.
