After scheduling difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic created fears the donation of “Bobcat Strong” gift bags to the last class of students at Moores Hill Elementary School would not occur, a group of citizens finalized the delivery with school officials May 26.

ECHS FFA nursery/landscape teams compete at state

Ten East Central High School FFA members competed in the Indiana FFA Nursery/Landscape Career and Leadership Development Event on April 24 at the Central Nine Career Center in Greenwood. Members participated in a number of categories such as landscape estimating, identification of plants, pests, disorders, equipment and supplies, a general knowledge test, plant propagation practicum, verbal customer assistance and a plant layout practicum.

Indiana State Police Trooper Jayme Herbert, of the Versailles district, was recognized by the Indiana chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for excellence in getting drunk drivers off Indiana’s roads.
