COLUMBUS, Ind. - Rising Sun senior Landon Cole earned Academic All-State first team honors from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, announced March 17.

INDIANAPOLIS - Rising Sun High School baseball, which takes the field for the first time since 2019 when its hosts Lawrenceburg next Wednesday, March 31, has received votes in the coaches association preseason poll for 2021.

Sorority meets, selects slate of officers

Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Theta Lambda Chapter, met Monday, March 8, at the Ohio County Public Library. President Pat Kinnett presided over the meeting with 13 members present.

The Ohio County Soil and Water Conservation District presented its essay contest winners from eighth graders at Ohio County Elementary Middle School First-place winner was Alyssa Ayers, who received a trophy and a $100 savings bond. Alyssa is the daughter of Ken and Tiffany Ayers.
