Debra Ann Hogsten, 67, of Alexandria, Kentucky, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday March 19, 2021, in Alexandria, Kentucky. She was born March 8, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late William Forsyth and Betty (Steele) Forsyth.

Board meeting moved

The Greendale Board of Works meeting, originally scheduled to meet on March 22, will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, March 29, at the City Administration Building, 500 Ridge Ave.

BMV Good Friday hours

All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches will be closed Friday, April 2, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Saturday, April 3.

Don’t let anyone say you don’t belong

Being a female who has worked in a “man’s” world my entire career, I would like to share my thoughts about National Women’s Month. I support it and think that it is important that we recognize women and the accomplishments that they have made. It is great to see so many qualified and accomplished women in leadership roles and in male-dominated industries today where they were not included in the past.

Art council calls for entries

The Dearborn Highlands Arts Council is calling for entries for artists in any medium 18 or older for Spring Into Art, an annual judged exhibition. There will be cash awards.

Food growers group receives grant

The Food and Growers Association of Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Ripley, Rush, Shelby and Union counties has received a $14,720 Food Council Development Grant from Indiana Grown. The association was one of five that receives grants from Indiana Grown.
