Planning a vegetable garden

Planning is the first and most basic step in home vegetable gardening. Planning will not only save you time when you are ready to plant but it also gives you an idea of the types and quantities of seeds or plants that you will use. Part of planning is picking out the location of your garden and the location of each of your plants. Creating a map of your garden each year will help with rotating plants around to be sure not to grow the same thing in the same location every year. This will help cut down the chance of disease.
