Lawrenceburg donates playground equipment to Aurora

Park equipment from the Arch Street playground in Lawrenceburg is now going down the road to Aurora. City Council in Aurora agreed to buy the equipment, take it down and move it to Aurora.

County vaccinations are ‘going well’

The Dearborn County Health Department is vaccinating 600 more people this week to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. The administering of the vaccine is scheduled for those 70 years old, and older, and for health care workers and for front-line EMS personnel.

Discovery grants will help in STEAM

Kids Discovery Factory has received a $5,000 grant through the Youth Program Resilience Fund of Lilly Endowment Inc. Kids Discovery Factory will use the grant to create classroom activity kits and purchase reusable desktop activity sets to enhance hands-on STEAM learning for students.

Pence supports FCC rural broadband funding

U.S. Congressman Greg Pence (R-6th District) has announced that Indiana will be the recipient of $169 million to improve access to high-speed Internet service through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction. The announcement today came via the Federal Communication Commission.

Christmas singing

The second-grade class at Manchester Elementary prepared for a virtual Christmas concert before the holiday. The class chose to sing, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” The students had to learn the words and pitch.
