REMC donates to community, expands scholarship program

Southeastern Indiana REMC has changed its scholarship program, making the opportunity to receive financial assistance for a post-secondary education available to a greater number of graduating seniors.

I am Joe Maas, one of the owners of JTM Food Group. JTM started in Delhi out of the back of my father’s meat store that I started working at when I was 10 years old. In my career at JTM, I developed all the processes by which JTM manufactures the millions of pounds of food products per week.

Rising Sun Regional Foundation scholarship program is open

Rising Sun High School students are eligible to apply to the Rising Sun Regional Foundation’s 2021 Scholarship Program which will award $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors for the purpose of post-secondary education in any accredited institution of higher learning.

OCCF high school scholarship applications available

Applications for the 2021 High School Scholarship Program administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation are available online. Rising Sun High School seniors were distributed information concerning the scholarship program and a scholarship timeline.

Cole’s 18 needed help at L’burg

LAWRENCEBURG - Rising Sun basketball senior Landon Cole scored a game-high 18 points, but needed more help in a 64-50 Senior Night loss at Lawrenceburg Saturday. Dipping to 5-7 overall, Coach Brandon Snodgrass’s Shiner boys varsity dipped to 5-7 overall as it absorbed a weekend sweep, outrgunned by ORVC rival Southwestern (Hanover) by a 89-52 margin Friday at home.
