Lawrence “Bill” Schlager, age 77, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born August 8, 1943 in North College Hill the son of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Remmel) Schlager.
Eileen (nee Simpson) Anderson, of West Harrison, passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 74. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky, on September 27, 1946, to Ray and Vernia (nee Bowens) Simpson.
Students receive Miami degrees The following Harrison students received degrees from Miami University Dec. 11 : Jillian Campagna graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in art.
Taylor Oberjohann of Harrison was among the seven Ohio Connections Academy (OCA) students to receive a Prudential Spirit of Community Award in recognition of their volunteer service to the community. Oberjohann, an eighth grader at the online public charter school, worked with school, city and county officials, as well as representatives from Duke Energy, to replace and upgrade traffic and crosswalk lighting signals in front of the local middle school to ensure the safety of the pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
