As the “Crossroads of America,” the Hoosier State’s rail industry is one of the busiest in the nation, holding true to our nickname with thousands of miles of Class I railroad tracks and over 328 million tons of freight moved annually. Our rail system is a source of pride for the Sixth District, boosting our economy and serving as an example of hard work and innovation to the rest of our nation.
