Domestic violence shelter receives grant

Safe Passage was one of 28 domestic violence shelters to receive part of $500,000 from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute through the Social Services Block Grant program. Safe Passage received Safe Passage received $20,000 to help provide overnight stay and shelter nights and for safety and supportive programming to domestic violence victims and their children.

Father’s Day is a day to honor the influence fathers have always been to their children, and is reflected as milestones in their children’s eyes. The day is usually a celebration to honor the men who have embraced the essential role of fatherhood; these readers wanted to show their appreciation to those men whether alive or in heaven for the sacrifices they made, and for the devotion they have given to their families.
