William H. (Bill) Settles; 72 of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away following a long illness on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, with his son by his side.

Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sept. 21, 1950, son of the late Edward and Kathleen (Keeton) Settles.

Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1974.

Bill resided in Aurora, Indiana, and Northern Kentucky for most of his life, calling Southwest Florida home for the past seven years. Bill truly loved his family, his many friends, golf, and the beach. 

Bill is survived by his son, William Settles, granddaughter Julia and grandson Jackson of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; brother, Mike Settles of Aurora, Indiana; sister, Janice Burd of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Billingsley and Helen Rose.
