Vera H. (nee Broxterman) Colegate was called home to Jesus Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the age of 92. Preceded in death by husband Floyd Colegate Sr., parents William and Elizabeth (nee Smith) Broxterman, sister Evelyn Wilson and brothers Howard and Richard Broxterman.

 Also preceded in death by son Dale (Darlene) Broxterman Sr. 2016 and Darla (Danny Horn) Colegate 1994. Loving mother of surviving children Debbie (Skip) Peak, Cindy (Bobby Tinsley) Colegate, Floyd (Cheri) Colegate, Rita (Tom) Skeen and Timothy (Janie) Colegate Sr. Loving Grandmother to Michele, Dale Jr., Bryon, Christopher, Derek, Colton, Melissa, Tatem, Ashlee, Joshua, Jessica and Timothy Jr. Great-grandmother to numerous great-grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother/great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a caregiver to her brother Richard, her mother-in-law, mother and husband. Vera loved God, Jesus, all children especially babies and animals.

Family will receive family and friends Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church, 9700 Dry Fork Road, Harrison, Ohio, 45030.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any of the following: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Sunman, Indiana; American Cancer Society – Cincinnati; Hospice of Cincinnati; Dearborn County PAWS or any animal shelter of choice.
