Theresa Josephine “Chi Chi” Conklin, 91, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away at the Shady Nook Care Center on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.

She was born March 19, 1931, in Elmira, New York, daughter of the late Michael and Rose Maria (DiAmbrosia) Cornacchio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Samuel, Joseph, Anthony, Pasquale Cornacchio; three sisters, Grace Marrone, Irene Messina, Lucy Rundell; two infant sisters, Carmella, Rose Marie; beloved niece, Mary Theresa Keefe; and her beloved nephew, Joe Marrone.

She is survived by her two children, Anthony (Pam) Conklin, Suzzi (Robin) Romines; four grandchildren, Courtney Conklin, Kelsey (Aaron) Miller, Sydney (A.J.) Hunger, Gina Romines; three great–grandchildren, Campbell Conklin, Madden Miller, Memphis Miller; sister-in-law, Linda Cornacchio; numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends whom she loved so very much.

She was well known at her place of employment which included Winter Gardens, Dees Delights, and the local fruit stand. She enjoyed making spaghetti and baking cakes which were enjoyed by both family and friends whom stopped by, especially her grandchildren and when family dinners took place. She was known for her “Italian Cuisine”and hospitality which is carried on by her family today. She liked to play cards and Theresa enjoyed the time spent with everyone, either through phone calls or visits, and her entire family wishes to thank you for your kindness.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at 11 a.m., with Father Daniel Mahan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
