Shirley Jean Retherford, 75, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022. She was born July 13, 1947, in Batesville, Indiana, daughter of the late Durward and Eloise (Manlief) Louden.

Shirley enjoyed gambling and going to the casino boat. She liked to shop and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great–grandchildren. She worked as a treasurer at South Dearborn Schools for 24 years.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Retherford of Aurora, Indiana; four daughters, Amy Todd of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Krista Tasch of Kennesaw, Georgia, Shawna (Mike) Brandes of Milan, Indiana, Holly Ramey of Osgood, Indiana; two brothers, Tucker (Marsha) Louden of Milan, Indiana, Gary (Janet) Louden of Aurora, Indiana; two sisters, Sharon Hoffman of Madison, Indiana, Paulette (Otto) Kelley of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Cooper, Sidney, Kennedy, Karsen, Michael, Cody, Shelbie, Ashley; and her four great–grandchildren, Liam, Oaklyn, Gemma, and Jace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Durward and Eloise Louden; sister, Marla Green; and her brother, Kenneth Louden.

Family and friends are invited to graveside funeral services to be held at Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Sheldon Rox officiating.
