Paula Renee (Begley) Turner, age 54, of Patriot, entered this life on Feb. 6, 1969, in Scottsburg, Indiana. S
he was the daughter of Thomas Wayne and Sylvia Jean (Peters) Begley. She was raised in Beattyville, Kentucky, where she attended Lee County High School. Paula was united in marriage to Gordan “Wayne” Turner Jr. on Aug. 2, 2008, in Patriot. She was employed as the dietary manager for Pine Noll Assisted Living Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, for three years. She was also employed for The Waters of Rising Sun as a cook for five years. Paula was a former custodian for the Rising Sun School Corp. for 12 years. Paula was a member of the Beattyville Baptist Church. She enjoyed gambling, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. Paula died on August 23, 2023, at her residence.
Survivors: husband, Wayne; sons, Korey Turner of Patriot, and Josh England of Rising Sun; grandchildren, Aubrey England and Rhiannon Clark; mother; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Turner of Patriot; sister, Angie Begley of Beattyville, Kentucky; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Amanda and Jay Jones of Patriot and David and Bobbie Turner of Rising Sun and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by father and brother, Jeffery Begley.
