Paul Gerken, 81, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022.

He was born May 3, 1941 in Cloppenburg, Germany, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Thormann) Gerken.

Paul enjoyed being outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends. He worked as a painting contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Gerken; four children, Schellie (Mike) Lansing, Scherrie “Heidi” (Tim) Stegmuller, John Gerken, Matt Freeman; sewven grandchildren, Joshua Gerken, Trey Lansing, Anthony (Allie) Gerken, Alec Tramontana, Jake Stegmuller, Tyler Byndon, Brandon Gerken; one great–grandchild, Arden Gerken; one brother, Klaus; one sister, Ursela; and two brothers-in-law, John Gruber, Paul Gruber.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at 7 p.m., with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
