Paul Elmer Lamping

Paul Elmer Lamping, 85, formerly of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Johnson Memorial Heath Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Elmer and Virginia (Collins) Lamping.

Paul was a past Scoutmaster for St. Lawrence Boy Scout Troop 645 and had a passion for the outdoors. He volunteered regularly at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He collected stamps, coins, baseball cards and loved to play golf. He also was a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. He was a great brother, brother-in-law, and an uncle to nine nieces and nephews. He loved his family and his grandchildren were everything to him. He worked in the accounting department at Joseph E Seagram’s distillery for over 35 years.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane Lamping Wolfangel; son, Jeff Lamping; three grandchildren, Jefferson Lamping (wife Paige Ellis Lamping), Jacob Lamping (wife Payton Holman Lamping), McKenzi Lamping; and five great-grandchildren, Paislee, Jaxon, Brady, Wesley, and Hank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Virginia Lamping; and his loving wife, Sandra Lamping.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at 1 p.m., with Father Daniel Mahan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, Ohio.
