It was considered a soft opening with no fanfare, but customers already are perusing the new Goodwill store in Lawrenceburg. The store is in the former Kroger building in the shopping center along U.S. 50 just across the fly-over bridge. It’s nice and new and stocked full, according to Michael Flannery, Goodwill Cincinnati’s spokesman. “We’re glad that we were able to get in some place; it’s always nicer to come in and fix some place up, make an improvement,” Flannery said. “And we stripped it down to the studs. It’s brand new in there.” There is 1,200 square feet of shopping area and has about 15,000 clothing items.
