Pence supports FCC rural broadband funding

U.S. Congressman Greg Pence (R-6th District) has announced that Indiana will be the recipient of $169 million to improve access to high-speed Internet service through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction. The announcement today came via the Federal Communication Commission.

Flatboat replica being built in Rising Sun

Construction of a 36-foot x 12-foot life-size flatboat replica in honor of Rising Sun’s founders is underway at the Ohio County Historical Society and Museum. The replica will be 8 feet tall with a one-room cabin and was inspired by an 1840s flatboat similar to the one that people in this area would have used to settle the Western Frontier.
