Manchester students take virtual trips

Students in Jennifer Warren’s fifth-grade class at Manchester Elementary School learned about ecosystems and the roles organisms play in different ecosystems. The class was able to obtain the Google Expeditions kit to explore different ecosystems and describe how different organisms are able to thrive in each area.

L’burg meetings now open to in-person viewing

You can attend – in person – Lawrenceburg city meetings again. Lawrenceburg City Hall will now be open to the public for the boards a commissions public meetings with restrictions in place.

Youth orchestra celebrating 5 years

In February of 2016, the Southeast Indiana Youth Orchestra (SEIYO) launched its inaugural semester. The vision for the orchestra grew out of a desire to provide an opportunity for students in Southeast Indiana to develop their musicianship through a strings orchestral program, which otherwise did not exist in our community. With the beginning of eight students that has grown to nearly 30, it offers an affordable music education to students of all ages as well as an inexpensive instrument rental program which includes basses, cellos, violas and violins.
