Want a dress for the prom or a special occasion? Simply bring in one to ReProm Dress Exchange in the Creation Station at the Dearborn County Recycling Center where you can swap rather than buy. Founded nine years ago, several women thought there was so much waste in buying a dress that is only purchased for a one-time use.

Month honors strength, ambition, courage

Each year, March is designated as National Women’s month with a special presidential proclamation to honor the achievements of American women. This celebration began nationally in 1981 with a week in March being declared as Women’s History Week. In 1987 a new bill was passed which proclaimed the entire month of March as Women’s History Month which helps to celebrate the contributions women had made in a variety of fields.
