Two join Great Parks board
Stacey DeGraffenreid and Caren Laverty have joined the board of the Great Parks of Hamilton County. DeGraffenreid and Laverty were appointed by Hamilton County Probate Court Judge Ralph Winkler.
Garden club selling soil booster, filling planters
Shaker Farms Garden Club will again sell Posy Power this spring. This is the club’s only fundraiser and supports its scholarship fund and civic projects throughout Harrison.

The Rising Sun Regional Foundation’s 2021 Scholarship Program will award $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors for the purpose of post-secondary education in any accredited institution of higher learning.
Friendship bank awarding 5 scholarships
The Friendship State Bank has been honoring the Wilke S. and James W. Lemon legacies with a scholarship for over 20 years. This year the community bank will award five high school seniors who show a commitment to their community a $1,000 scholarship for college. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 5.
