Accident moves student to brighten situation

When Taylor Oberjohann saw a teacher nearly hit by a car and a friend get stuck in the dark along West Road in front of Harrison Junior School, she worried. Those two events compelled her to take action to help the Harrison community.

Legion helps on police XUV budget

The Harrison Police Department is one step closer to getting a new utility vehicle. Yeager-Benson Memorial American Legion Post 199’s 1st Vice Commander Jerry Wilson presented a check for $1,199 to Mayor Bill Neyer and Police Chief Charles Lindsey at the City Council meeting on Feb.

Area expansion may mean more businesses in city

The Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) in Harrison is expanding. The CRA is an economic development program through the state that allows cities to consider tax abatements on structural tax valuations, according to Economic Development Director Shannon Hamons.
