Career tech schools offer value to students

February is Career-Technical Education Month across the United States. It’s a chance to recognize the millions of American students studying and preparing for a good career as well as the instructors and professionals who teach those students.

Abrams’ bill to protect military children passes House

State Reps. Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) and Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) say the Ohio House has approved House Bill 92, their legislation that requires public children services agencies to report child abuse or neglect in military families to the appropriate military authorities.

Students help others prepare for virtual contest

The pandemic that created social distancing has also brought together groups of Harrison High School students recently. The issue: Students in the high school of business program offered by Great Oaks Career Campuses at Harrison qualified for state DECA business and marketing competition, but since the event is virtual, they needed to record their presentations.
