Baseball Knights retain EIAC bat with 10-3 win

RUSHVILLE - South Dearborn baseball, owner of the EIAC bat traveling trophy since 2019, kept it at home with Monday’s 10-3 win in its 2021 conference opener at Rushville. The bat, a concept formulated by longtime Knights head coach Jay Malott to boost Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference rivalries, remained idle all of last season after IHSAA cancellation of spring sports across the board, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
