New trail

New trail route opens

The entrance to the popular Timberlakes Trail in Miami Whitewater Forest has undergone a design reroute, providing a more sustainable and scenic experience for Great Parks trail users. The nearly half-mile addition extends the existing nature trail from 1.4 to 2.1 miles.

Garden club decorates library

Brenda Osman leads students, teachers

Brenda Osman wears many hats in the education field. She is the family and consumer science teacher at East Central High School; serves as department chair of four people; and is president of South Dearborn Education Association, an office she has held for about seven years.

Prosecutor: 20-year-old sold drugs to students

A 20-year-old has been arrested for selling marijuana through social media to high school students. According to Dearborn and Ohio County Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens and Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry, Noah Sauntry was arrested for dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance a level 2 felony, corrupt business influence a level 5 felony, maintaining a common nuisance a level 6 felony and dealing in marijuana a level 6 felony.

Crowded weekend

The weekend was sunny and bright, which meant a good time to go out and take in events. For some it meant getting out for the first time since a year ago.
