L’burg teachers may get stipend for working through pandemic

Lawrenceburg schools want to thank its staff for working throughout the pandemic. Pending approval at the Monday, May 10, school board meeting, and an OK from the Indiana Department of Education, every employee who has worked the entire school year will get a $1,000 stipend.

Streets were packed with cars, and people

The Lawrenceburg streets were so full that Logan Lawrence had to figure out where to park all of the cars. That was his predicament May 2, and it was a good and bad predicament during the fifth annual Cruisin’ for a Cure for ALS Car Show.

Pandemic art

Even during COVID, there are bright spots to highlight. Because of the pandemic University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center had to restrict and sometimes completely eliminate visitation, said Shanda Batchelor, a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Clifton campus of UC hospital since 1999.
