The Ohio County Soil & Water Conservation District holds a poster contest for fifth graders and an essay contest for the eighth graders of the Ohio County Elementary and Middle School. Those students that participated in the contest and were chosen as winners were left to right, Kai Walcott, first place Poster Contest Winner, Braysen Phillipe, second place Poster Contest Winner, Jaxson Elkins, first place Essay Contest Winner and Kynnadi Hartley, second place Essay Contest Winner. 1st place winners received a trophy and $100 each, while second place winners received a trophy and $50 each.
