Norma Ann Robinson, 88, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Norma was born in Petersburg, Kentucky, on April 28, 1934, one of 12 children of the late Eva (Bruce) Nixon and Jake Nixon. Norma married Harold R. “Bill” Robinson on June 22, 1953. Norma and Bill were married nearly 55 years until his passing on March 8, 2008. She was a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Norma took great pride in her home. She loved being outdoors mowing, gardening and landscaping around their property.

Norma is survived by two sons, Randy Robinson and wife Penny, of Rising Sun, Indiana, and  Michael Robinson and wife Peggy, of Rising Sun, Indiana; by her stepson, Gary Robinson and wife Sandy, of Ottawa, Indiana; by grandchildren, Brandy Honchel, Tawnya Karsteter, and Shiloh Rump and by great–grandchildren; Bryant, Jenna, Carson, Ava, Jackson, Brody, Dylan and Jacob. Norma is also survived by two sisters, Alyce Laker, of Aurora, Indiana, and Peggy Zimmer, of The Villages, Florida; by two brothers, David Nixon, of Berea, Kentucky, and Gary Wayne Nixon, of Winchester, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, “Bill,” and by stepdaughters Jane Ann Wainscott and Sharon Walton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, Indiana, with Eldon Fancher officiating. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
