Lawrenceburg High School’s girls varsity tennis No. 1 doubles team of seniors Jenna May (left) and Sarah McAndrew, with a 13-3 overall record this season, captured the individual doubles position sectional championship at Richmond May 21-22. The Lady Tigers duo registered 6-straight wins to start IHSAA state tournament play, including in the team sectional at East Central May 15-18. Advancing to the individual doubles regional at Bedford North Lawrence Saturday, June 1, they capped their postseason run with a 3-set marathon loss to Charlotte Fisher and Callie Loesch of New Albany, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.(LHS Athletics)
