Douglas Vemont Marqua, 76, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, son of the late Vemont and Pauline (Antill) Marqua.

Doug was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 239. Past member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrenceburg. He was a past school teacher where he coached football, basketball, and track. He was a former Perfect North Slopes ski instructor. He was an avid golfer and participated in numerous sports. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Marqua of Greendale, Indiana; son, Daniel (Mary) Marqua of Greendale, Indiana; daughter, Erin (Patrick Hickey) Marqua of Greendale, Indiana; two sisters, Cheri (Dudder) Baker of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Pam Yauger of Moores Hill, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Theodore Hickey, Archibald Hickey, Harrison Marqua, Ezekiel Marqua.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Jason Haddock officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
