Mary Kathryn Bradley

Mary Kathryn Bradley, “Madame,” 80, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023. She was born May 18, 1943, in Elmira, New York, daughter of the late Stephen and Rose (Terpolilli) Lewis.

Mary was a member of the Dearborn County Retired Teachers Association and Foundation. She was an active member of the Retired Teachers Sewing Group where they made clothing for children in Haiti. She was a longtime (35-plus years) teacher at Lawrenceburg High School where she taught French and was “Madame Bradley” to all who knew her.. She started the European trips at Lawrenceburg High School. She enjoyed cooking for family, friends, fellow teachers and students. In 2021 she was awarded the Retired Teacher State Association Community Service Award for the state of Indiana. Family meant everything to Madame.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Bradley of Greendale, Indiana; two sons, Stephen (Tracey) Bradley of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and Warren (Maribeth) Bradley of Greendale, Indiana; and her three grandchildren, Grant Bradley, Jack Bradley, Chase Bradley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Rose Lewis.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
