Martha Jean Taylor, age 97, passed away quietly on Sept. 4, 2022.

She is proceeded in death by parents Clayton and Minnie Batchelor, her husband Cecil Taylor, sister Phyllis Hickey and daughter Phyllis Greer. Martha has two remaining daughters and a son: Kim Roser of Bridgeport, New York, Lissa Holsclaw of Lenoir, North Carolina, and Richard Suit of Roseville, California.

Martha moved from Indiana to Lenoir several years ago to be closer to Lissa, following the passing of husband, Cecil. She was an avid reader, loved history and enjoyed careers in office management and fashion purchasing. Taking a keen interest in the world around her, Martha also participated in county politics in Dearborn County, Indiana. She loved her children and was loved deeply by them. Martha led a good and full life and will be sorely missed by her family as well as by all who knew her. Her family sincerely thanks the staff and management of the Lenoir Health Care facility for the kindness and care they gave Martha during her residency. Rest in peace Mom.
