Marcella Mae Brandt, 97, of Greendale, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, with family members by her side.

She was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Guilford, Indiana, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Rodmaker) Seevers. Marcella married the love of her life, Mervin Brandt, and together they resided in Greendale, Indiana, for most of their life.

Marcella was a faithful member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Greendale, Indiana. She loved to travel and enjoyed arts and crafts and also volunteering at RSVP . She retired from Joseph E Seagram’s Distillery.

She is survived by her two sisters, Rosemary Schuck of Guilford, Indiana, Betty Webb of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; sister-in-law, Vera Seevers of Sunman, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Seevers; husband, Mervin Brandt; brother, Lester Seevers; and two nephews, Mark Seevers, Thomas Paul Seevers.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
