Linda Jean Allen, 79, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023. She was born March 4, 1944, in Ohio, daughter of the late Chalis and Jessie (Green) Ritchie.

Linda was a member of the Greendale First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and was one of many, in a long line of excellent cooks. She loved spending time with family. She worked as a home health aide for 15 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Toni (David) Blankenship of Greendale, Indiana; Jaymi (David) Wright of Harrison, Ohio; Jodi (Jamey) Flynn of Walton, Kentucky; boyfriend, Leroy Adams; son-in-law, Mark Shinkle; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chalis and Jessie Ritchie; husband, Tony Allen; son, Jackee Allen; daughter, Jerrie Shinkle; grandson, Johnathan Flynn; sister, Dean Jordan; and her brother, Melvin Ritchie.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Steven Hurley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
