KAREN (JEWETT) KIRKPATRICK

 Karen (Jewett) Kirkpatrick, 75, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at the Waters of Batesville on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born December 2, 1949 in Dillsboro, Indiana, daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Block) Jewett.
 Karen was a 1967 graduate of Dillsboro High School. She was actively involved in various clubs, a member of the Band, and she was a cheerleader.
 She was married to Gary Kirkpatrick of Aurora, Indiana, in the spring of 1972. They had two sons. Karen had a passion for helping others. She started her career in the medical field where she was a medical assistant and office manager for the late Dr. Ivan Lindgren in downtown Aurora, Indiana. and later went to work as a medical assistant for Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jim Swanson at the Dearborn County Hospital. Karen’s love for travel lead her to a career change where she became a flight attendant for ComAir Airlines. She worked as a flight attendant for 7 years.
 For all those that knew Karen knew she had a zest for life and a passion for traveling with her husband Gary, seeing sights all over the country. She enjoyed shopping and getting her nails and hair done. She was a social butterfly and loved helping others. She adored her Church, the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where she wrote the monthly Church newsletter. She perfected the art of making everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She cherished her family and friends. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
 She is survived by her 2 sons, Kasey (Tasha) Kirkpatrick of Lawrenceburg, IN, Korey (Roseanna) Kirkpatrick of Lawrenceburg, IN; sister, Beth (Robert) Strassell of Milan, IN; 4 grandchildren, Laitlyn Kirkpatrick, Karter Kirkpatrick, Kinzley Kirkpatrick, Kyler Kirkpatrick; and numerous other friends.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Jewett; her loving husband of 49 years, Gary Kirkpatrick; and her 2 brothers, Denver Jewett, Keith Jewett.
 Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2 pm.
 Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
