John Dennis Ross was born on Dec 6, 1944, in Batesville, Indiana.

John passed peacefully Oct 18, 2023, with family and friends by his side in Munich, Germany.

He is pre-deceased by his wife Gabi, parents Howard and Hilda Ross, brother Howard Jr., and sister Marylin. He is survived by his children Jeanine and Andrew, and grandchildren Josephine, Elvis, and Nicholas.

John grew up in Aurora, served in the Marine Corps, became a mainframe computer technician for Siemens, started his own IT company in Florida, and finished his career as a technical German/English translator.

His overwhelming legacy is his positivity, which lives on in all whom he met.

His funeral will take place Thursday morning, June 6, 2024, at noon at the River View Cemetery, followed by his Celebration of Life at Aurora’s Third and Main restaurant from 1 – 6 p.m. on June 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. we will have a car procession meet up (location in Aurora TBD); the procession will end at River View Cemetery, with a service scheduled for noon.
