Henry A. Pictor, 85, of Batesville, Ind., passed away, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Born June 1, 1938, in Evergreen Park, Ill., he is the son of Thyra (Dillhoff) and Henry L. Pictor. He married Linda Laramore on September 14, 1963, at St. Joseph Church in LaPorte, Ind., and she preceded him in death on August 17, 2023. He was a Marine Corp. veteran during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Indiana Bar Association.
 Henry had a private law practice in Rising Sun, Ind., from 1966-1977. He then held the position of Ripley County Circuit Court Judge from 1977-1985.
 He is survived by his daughters Janna (John) Irrgang of Batesville, Amy Pictor of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Katherine Martin of Carmel, Ind.; sons James (Amy) Pictor of Sheridan, Ind., and Daniel (Susan) Pictor of Port St. Joe, Fla.; sisters Thyra Fulayter, Anna Pictor, and Virginia Pictor; brother Thomas Pictor; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Henry was preceded in death by his sister Susan Hecimovich and brothers Joseph and John Pictor.
 Visitation will be Sunday, January 14 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 15 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites being conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis School or Oldenburg Academy.
