Harold “Ed” Edward Mergenthal passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 89 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on February 6, 1936, in Brookville, Ind.

He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps.

Visitation was held on September 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, Harrison, Ohio. A graveside service was conducted by the United States Marine Corps, along with the Harrison Honor Guard.
