Halloween events

Here is a list of events you can take part of for Halloween. If you have an event not listed, please send the information to MEmral@cherryroad.com. We will update this list periodically through Halloween.

Haunted asylum

AURORA – The Lost Soul Asylum Haunted Attraction will be open from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 2, at the Aurora Fire House on the corner of Dutch Hollow Road and U.S. 50. Admission is $10.

The lights will be on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. for kids to come through without the scare. Admission for that event is $5.

Thirteen games will be set up in a game alley at the fire house for children and adults with prizes. Tickets for everything are available at the door.

Walk with wine

AURORA – HalloWINE Walk will be 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.

It is part of a series of Get Wine(d) and Dine(d). This is the fifth annual HalloWINE Walk where people can pick up a card from the sponsor Main Street Aurora, 235 Main St. The card lists all the businesses and restaurants that are participating. No reservations are needed.

Walking with ghosts

AURORA – Main Street Aurora is hosting its 10th annual Ghost Walk 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25.

Walkers can take a tour in historic downtown listening to eerie tales as well as see Hillforest House Museum, an 1855 Italian Renaissance mansion. They can also take advantage of witches brew and treats. Civista Charitable Foundation is the sponsor.

Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations are required. Call 812-926-1100.

Trunk or Treat

LAWRENCEBURG – Steak ‘n Shake, 861 W. Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg is holding its first Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Managers and employees will hand out free candy to guests in their cars.

Spooktacular is back

HARRISON – Spooktacular, an annual city event, is from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 27,at the Harrison Community Center, 300 George St.

Children are invited to participate in a costume parade at 5 p.m. There will be a free goodie bags for first 600 kids, games, prizes, candy, food, music and more. Trick-or-treating will be provided by local merchants, community organizations and nonprofits.

Pets are welcome to attend in costume, too, but they must be on a leash. The first 20 dogs will receive a treat.

The city will not have a haunted house this year.

VFW trunk and treat

HARRISON – VFW Duwel Post 7570, 9160 Harrison Road, will host its fourth annual Trunk or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Decorate your trunk and pass out candy. There will be a prize for the best decorated car. For more information, call 513-67-6633.

Colorfall slopes

GREENDALE – At Perfect North Slopes’ ColorFall, visitors can enjoy an immersive experience featuring LED lit trees, jack o’lanterns, hay rides and fun fall scenes on a mile-long lit walking path around the lake. T

The display takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening through Nov. 2 at Perfect North.

Pet treats

PAWS of Dearborn County’s Tails & Treats Halloween Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 200 Charles A Liddle Drive, Lawrenceburg

It will feature a fall craft show, trunk or treat, raffle baskets, doggie costume contest, gift shop, food and more.

L’burg treats

The Lawrenceburg Employee-Hosted Trunk “N” Treat at Ludlow Hill Park will be held the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 27.

Halloween parade

The Aurora Lions Club Halloween Parade & Costume Contest will take place on Monday, Oct. 29.

Flipping Halloween

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP – Ghouls and goblins will have free admission at Flipperz Pinball at 5833 Dry Fork Road.

There will be costume parties, free gory drink samples, giveaways and prizes, a free pit, and scary games tournaments. Free tokens are available to those who wear a costume.

Trick or teat for ages under 14 will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Lake treats

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP – A Trunk or Treat will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, a Lake Julie Ann, 9300 West Road.

It’s free with hay rides, face painting, games, candy and door prize entry. There will be vendor booths, food and crafts available.

Steak treats

LAWRENCEBURG – Steak n’ Shake will have a trunk or treat from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the restaurant, 861 W. Eads Pkwy, U.S. 50.

Fall festival

AURORA – St. John Lutheran School will have a Fall Festival from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the school, 222 Mechanic St.

Parking is in St. Elizabeth Primary Care parking lot or on Bridgeway Street.

There will be trunk or treating, food, crafts and pumpkin painting. No scary or demonic costumes, please.

It is free.
