Mr. Gordon Dean Peelman, 90, of Lawrenceburg entered this life on February 23, 1934, in Vevay, Ind. He was the son of the late Frank Edward “EP” and Mary Naomi (Fulton) Peelman. He was raised in Vevay where he attended school. Gordon was united in marriage to Wanda Peelman and later to Barbara (Jones) Peelman. Gordon was employed for Dearborn Mills in Aurora, Ind., and for Pierson Hollowell in Greendale, Ind. He was also a former painter and roofer in Aurora. Gordon was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #231 of Aurora. Gordon loved going on walks, fishing and playing bingo. You would never catch Gordon without a hat on and pens in his pocket. Gordon died on March 14, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Ky.
Survivors: his daughters, Verna (Paul Cornett) Hamilton of Sunman, Ind., Pam Peelman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sally (Ralph) Stuart of Cincinnati, and Peggy Barrogon of Dillsboro, Ind.; stepdaughters, Kathy Taylor Cochran of Versailles, Ind., and Becky (Donald) Emery of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; stepsons, Donnie (Toni) Taylor of Bear Branch, Ind., and Russell Leon Taylor of Nashville, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ron Peelman of Mayesville, S.C. and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Donna and Tina Rose Peelman; son, Larry Wayne Peelman; stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Taylor; stepson, Ricky Taylor; brothers, Eugene, Bobby and Chuck Peelman and sisters, Virginia Peelman, Betty Tomlinson, Roberta Kearney, Linda Peters, Shirley Ann Marsh and Mary Downing.
