Glen Allen Cornett, 73, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022. He was born June 3, 1949, in Benham, Kentucky, son of the late Delbert and Daisy Helen (Howard) Cornett.
Glen’s family relocated to Lawrenceburg and he went on to graduate from Lawrenceburg High School in the class of 1967. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a tank commander stationed in Germany. Glen worked at the Schenley Distillery in Greendale until its closure and later retired from Kroger after 21 years where he worked as a production lead in the State Avenue plant.
Glen was an avid coin collector and liked going to coin shows. He enjoyed taking long drives through the back roads. He loved spending time with his family and took great joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
He is survived by his son, Aaron (Erin) Cornett of Greendale, Indiana; daughter, Alisa (David) McMullen of Greendale, Indiana; two brothers, Karl (Peggy) Cornett of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Robert (Cathy) Cornett of Moores Hill, Indiana; sister, Mary (Victor) Duehring of Mt. Airy, Maryland; six grandchildren, Madeline McMullen, Averi McMullen, Emma Cornett, Samuel Cornett, Elle McMullen, Benjamin Cornett; and one great–grandchild, Crew McCullough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Daisy Helen Cornett; and his two brothers, Howard Curtis Cornett, James Harold Cornett.
Family and friends are invited to graveside funeral services to be held at Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
