Mr. George William Skirvin, 91, of Moorefield, Ind., entered this life on August 9, 1933, in Carroll County, Ky.
George was inducted into the United States Army on December 8, 1953 in Louisville, Ky., serving during the Korean War. George was later transferred to the Army Reserves on December 7, 1955, at Fort Hood, Texas and was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist 4th Class on December 1, 1961.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, Ind.
Masonic Services and Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Vevay VFW Post #5396.
Interment will be held at a later date in Vevay Cemetery, Vevay.
