Edward M. Seissiger (85) of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed Dec. 19, 2022, and his loving wife, Mary Jo Seissiger “Josie” (83) of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed Feb. 2, 2023.

They are survived by his sister and brother, JoAnn Moser of Harrison and Eugene “Gene” Seissiger of Fort Pierce, Florida. Ed and Josie also leave their children, Edward M Seissiger Jr. of Fort Pierce Florida, John P Seissiger of Lawrenceburg Indiana, and Lisa M Dreyer of Lawrenceburg Indiana.

Ed graduated from Ohio Mechanical Institute in 1957. He started his career in the Eastern Steel Mills electrical sections, before moving to Westinghouse Electric Co. of Sunnyvale, California, in the Marine Division. Ed and Josie were married in 1960. While with Westinghouse, Ed engineered and designed submarine launch systems for the U.S. Navy. Moving with the Navy for the next 34 years, Ed provided an exciting life for the family in interesting locations, while Josie was a caring, loving mother and homemaker. When they retired, they settled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to be close to family.

Ed enjoyed gardening and loved woodworking as his hobby. Josie was a caring and protective wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, crafting and baking.

A celebration of their lives will be held at Fitch Denney Funeral Home, 455 Ridge Ave., Greendale, Indiana, 47025, on Saturday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
