East Central High School 3-sports senior Anna Black (seated, center) signed an NCAA Division III letter of intent to play soccer at Hanover College in January. Joining her, also seated, were parents BJ and Kelly Black. Standing, from left, are siblings Joey, Molly and Tommy Black. A soccer player since the age of 6, Anna is ranked No. 1 in her senior class of 291 students and holds a 4.293 grade point average. An Academic All-District pick by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association as a junior and senior, she was named the 2025 Lilly Endowment Scholarship recipient by the Dearborn Community Foundation. On the pitch, Anna was an ISCA second team All-District. selection. With a total of 11 varsity letters, she’s served as 2-year captain in EC soccer and basketball, earning All-EIAC honors in both sports. She plans to study Biochemistry at Hanover.EC Athletics
