Dorotha “Dotty” L. Paeltz

Dotty lived for selling real estate and laughing. She never planned on retiring until she physically had to give it up. Dotty had an amazing laugh that would put a smile on your face.

On Nov. 5, 2022, Dorotha “Dotty” L. Paeltz, of West Harrison, passed away after a battle with brain cancer, at the age of 74.

She was born on Oct. 8, 1948, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Carl and Betty (nee Carroll) Ripperger. For the past 40-plus years, Dotty was in the real estate business. From owning her own agency to selling for others. When Dotty wasn’t selling houses, she had a love for horseback riding and traveling. She went with family and friends camping and trail riding. After her husband passed, she enjoyed going on casino adventures with her dear friend Fred Clark. They also liked traveling together to Florida during the cold winter months.

Dotty was preceded in death by her husband John Paeltz; parents Carl and Betty Ripperger; and sister Carol Knollman; and brother-in-law Robert Spencer.

Survivors include her sister Sally Spencer; dear friend and companion: Fred Clark; brother-in-law Norman Knollman; nephews: Steve (Lisa) and Mark Knollman; niece: Renee (Eric) Smith Vornheder; aunt Rosella Caroll; and her special horse Daisy.

There will be a private burial at New Haven Cemetery and a celebration of Dotty’s life at a later date.
